Statistics Committee provides data on number of passengers transported by rail

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-June 2021, 4 million passengers were transported by rail.

Passenger traffic fell by 4.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

In January-June 2021, freight transportation amounted to 35.2 million tons.

The growth rate in comparison with the corresponding period of 2020 was 103.5%, the committee said in a report.
