Coronavirus and pneumonia: Infection cases start to drop
On August 22, 818 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 349 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 149,876 (+818).
Reportedly, 198 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 74 – in Karakalpakstan, 39 – in Andijan, 25 – in Bukhara, 46 – in Jizzakh, 19 – in Kashkadarya, 16 – in Navoi, 33 – in Namangan, 86 – in Samarkand, 21 – in Syrdarya, 74 – in Surkhandarya, 71 – in Fergana, 22 – in Khorezm and 94 – in Tashkent region.
7 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,028.
As of August 22, the number of recovered stands at 142,632 (+887).
Also, 349 people tested positive for pneumonia on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 21,113. According to the Ministry of Health, 332 of them recovered yesterday (13,710 in total).
4 pneumonia patients died on August 22, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 145.
