Kurgantepa district prosecutor fired for abusing his official power

Khayot Shamsutdinov, a spokesman of the Prosecutor General’s Office, told Kun.uz that Kurgantepa district prosecutor Sardor Rajabboyev had been fired as a disciplinary measure.

The prosecutor, who used employees of the landscaping department in his house, was fired on August 23 by an order of the Prosecutor General.

Earlier, it was reported that the Kurgantepa district prosecutor Sardor Rajabboyev made employees of the district landscaping department to work from spring to autumn on his yard located in the Andijan district.

Citizens also complained to the Andijan regional prosecutor’s office about him. The regional prosecutor’s office then said that three of the workers had volunteered to renovate the district prosecutor’s home and no one had forced them to work.
