Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon discuss the situation in Afghanistan

Today, August 23, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation, the press service of the Tajik leader said in a statement.

During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and the regional situation.

“Special attention was paid to the current situation in Afghanistan,” the statement says.

It should be noted that on August 23, the President of Uzbekistan, as a guest, will take part in an extraordinary session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will consider the situation in Afghanistan.
