Coronavirus cases surpass 150 thousand in Uzbekistan
On August 23, 818 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 349 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 150,683 (+807).
Reportedly, 228 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 85 – in Karakalpakstan, 35 – in Andijan, 22 – in Bukhara, 39 – in Jizzakh, 16 – in Kashkadarya, 15 – in Navoi, 26 – in Namangan, 88 – in Samarkand, 15 – in Syrdarya, 26 – in Surkhandarya, 85 – in Fergana, 29 – in Khorezm and 98 – in Tashkent region.
7 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,035.
As of August 23, the number of recovered stands at 143,395 (+763).
Also, 321 people tested positive for pneumonia on Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 21,434. According to the Ministry of Health, 332 of them recovered yesterday (14,003 in total).
3 pneumonia patients died on August 23, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 148.
