Uzbekistan increased gasoline imports by 4 times in H1 2021
Russia and Kazakhstan lead in gasoline imports. In terms of regions, the city of Tashkent is a leader in gasoline imports.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-June 2021, Uzbekistan imported 274.6 million liters of gasoline worth $96.6 million.
According to the press service of the Committee, gasoline imports increased by almost 4 times compared to the same period last year.
The main countries that import gasoline from Uzbekistan are:
- Russia – 136.5 million liter
- Turkmenistan – 116, million liters
- Kazakhstan – 15.6 million liters
In terms of regions, Tashkent is the largest importer of gasoline, 67.7% of imported gasoline accounts for the capital’s share.
Regions that import gasoline from abroad (in US dollars):
- Tashkent city – 65.4 million
- Fergana region – 11.6 million
- Bukhara region – 8.4 million
- Namangan region – 4.2 million.
- Samarkand region – 3.6 million
- Syrdarya region – 2.2 million
- Tashkent region – 752.9 thousand
- Khorezm region – 293.6 thousand
- Karakalpakstan – 194.2 thousand
- Kashkadarya region – 69.0 thousand
Earlier, it was reported that Bukhara produced the most gasoline.
