Health Ministry updates COVID-19 statistics for Sept 23
On September 23, 560 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 134 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 171,080 (+560).
Reportedly, 238 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 34 – in Karakalpakstan, 8 – in Andijan, 5 – in Bukhara, 5 – in Jizzakh, 7 – in Kashkadarya, 5 – in Navoi, 8 – in Namangan, 57 – in Samarkand, 16 – in Syrdarya, 23 – in Surkhandarya, 23 – in Fergana, 4 – in Khorezm and 127 – in Tashkent region.
5 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,212.
As of September 23, the number of recovered stands at 165,282 (+668).
Also, 134 people tested positive for pneumonia on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 26,711. According to the Ministry of Health, 427 of them recovered yesterday (24,402 in total).
1 pneumonia patients died on September 23, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 221.
