Uzbekistan increases import of motor gasoline

In January-August 2021, Uzbekistan imported 281.6 million liters of motor gasoline for $100 million, the State Statistics Committee reported.

The import of gasoline increased by 3.2 times compared to the same period last year, the report said.

During the reporting period, the republic imported gasoline mainly from:

• Russia – 139 million liters
• Turkmenistan – 121 million liters
• Kazakhstan – 16 million liters
• Iraq – 3.6 million liters

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan produced about 730 thousand tons of gasoline in 8 months.
