As of October 1, 2021, 57.8 percent of Uzbekistan’s population are of working age, the State Statistics Committee said.
The committee noted that 31.1 percent of the population are under the working age and 11.1 percent – above the working age.
The working population rate is calculated by taking the number of people in the labor force, that is, the number employed and the number unemployed, divided by the total adult population and multiplying by 100 to get the percentage.
