Polytechnic University to be established in Navoi region
To train engineers, a Polytechnic University will be established in the Navoi region.
This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a meeting with voters in the Navoi region, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
“Within five years, the region will need 12,000 specialists with higher education and 40,000 with secondary specialized. For these purposes, the Navoi region should be turned into a center for training engineers,” he said.
The head of state said that a polytechnic university will be formed in the region, where 15,000 students will study.
In addition, an additional 6,000 seats will be allocated for the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute. The university will open 20 new disciplines.
