Young woman detained in Syrdarya region while selling her 5-day-old child for $5,000
A native of Kashkadarya region has been detained in the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region while selling her 5-day-old child for $5,000.

The incident happened on October 13, the regional police department said.
Reportedly, the woman was detained red-handed while selling her baby born on October 8. She is a resident of the Yakkabag district, Kashkadarya region.
The child is currently in the orphanage in Syrdarya region. The police are investigating the case.
