MFA discloses details of the talks between delegations of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan

On October 16, a working meeting of the delegations of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan took place in Termez.
As the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported, during the meeting, representatives of various ministries and agencies discussed trade-economic cooperation, border security, energy cooperation, international freight and transit.
They also exchanged views on the development of relations in education and the humanitarian field.
“Particular attention was paid to the implementation of infrastructure projects, in particular the laying of the Surkhan–Puli–Khumri power line and the construction of the Termez–Mazar-i-Sharif–Kabul–Peshawar railway,” the report reads.
As a result of the meetings, a number of bilateral agreements were reached on the issues discussed.
“The delegation of Afghanistan expressed deep gratitude to the Uzbek side for the hospitality and fruitful negotiations,” the MFA concluded.
