Rahmatulloh Sayfuddinov becomes chief imam of Tashkent
Rahmatulloh Sayfuddinov has been appointed the new chief imam-khatib of Tashkent city, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan reported.
Rahmatulloh Sayfuddinov is one of the students of the late Sheikh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf.
During his career, he worked as an imam-khatib at the Khujja Alambardor and Minor mosques in Tashkent (2014-2015), taught at the Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam Bukhari.
Prior to his appointment, Rahmatulloh Sayfuddinov was the chief of the Yunusabad district and imam-khatib of the Mirza Yusuf mosque.
Earlier, it was reported that Nuriddin Kholiknazarov, who has been the chief imam-khatib of Tashkent since 2019, has been elected chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.
