The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation plans to solve the problem with the shortage of personnel in agriculture by attracting labor migrants from Uzbekistan. Poultry companies are primarily interested in the program. This was discussed at a meeting held at the Ministry of Agriculture on October 19, Kommersant reports.
Companies wishing to attract migrants need to conclude an agreement with the Agency for External Labor Migration of Uzbekistan.
Potential workers will be tested for HIV, tuberculosis, vaccinated against COVID-19 with Sputnik Light, and pass an exam in the Russian language. All the costs will be reimbursed by the employer. Also, companies have to pay for the flight and patent costs.
