8 people died from gas poisoning in Samarkand in 10 days
Over the past 10 days, eight people died from gas poisoning in Samarkand region, 5 of them were minors.
Sirojiddin Abdullayev, a representative of the Pastdargom District Department of Emergency Situations, said this at a briefing, STV reports.
According to the official, 4 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning were recorded in Samarkand region over the past ten days, as a result of which 8 people died. Five of the eight who died were young children. The state of health of another citizen is assessed as grave and he is currently in hospital.
A preliminary study of the accidents showed that citizens were poisoned with gas due to the violation of safety rules when using heaters.
