“Two facilities have stolen natural gas equivalent to the consumption of 38,000 households” – Ministry of Energy

In the course of inspections conducted on 29 September and 12 October, cases of illegal use of gas have been revealed in Navoi and Jizzakh. The Ministry of Energy reported about this.

As it turned out, while inspecting the use of natural gas in the lime production plant of “Ergashobod Barakasi” LLC operating in Navoi region, it was identified that 49 non-standard (manual) gas burners were used to produce lime in a single tank not shown in the gasification project document. 

At the same time, 98,784,000 cubic meters of gas were used illegally and the damage amounted to 98.784 million soums. This volume of natural gas is the daily consumption of 9,800 households.

The case of illegal use of gas was also revealed in the lime production plant of “Zomin Ideal Stone” LLC, which operates in the territory of “Sanoat A”, Jizzakh city.

“On September 16, 2021, this consumer was disconnected from the gas network for violating the rules of use of natural gas. However, the businessman was illegally reconnected to the gas network and produced lime using two rotary kilns,” the report said.

The initial volume of additional gas was 267,070,000 cubic meters and the damage amounted to 267.070 million soums.

This is the daily consumption of 26,000 households.

Earlier, it was reported that in the past 22 days, natural gas equivalent to the consumption of more than 400 thousand households was stolen.
