Nearly 680 people complained of suffocation after last night’s dust storms
On November 4, a dust storm hit Tashkent and several other regions of Uzbekistan. The level of the dust exceeded the norm by 5 times.

According to the Ministry of Health, 678 people called an ambulance because of suffocation on November 4.
“On November 3, the total number of calls to the ambulance service was 3,433. Yesterday, the figure reached 4,082. Of these, 678 are directly related to shortness of breath. Doctors provided first aid to the patients and a certain part of them was hospitalized,” said Doniyor Buriboyev, chief physician of the Republican Emergency Medical Center in Tashkent.
The Ministry of Health stressed that the current dusty weather is dangerous for people with asthma, so it’s best not to leave home unless it is extremely necessary.
