Uzbekistan’s footwear exports down

The export of footwear products dropped by $3.6 million compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said.

In the first nine months of 2021, Uzbekistan exported footwear mainly to:

• Kyrgyzstan – $13.7 million
• Kazakhstan – $5.7 million
• Tajikistan – $3.7 million
• Russia – $700 thousand
• Afghanistan – $568 thousand

Major exporter-regions of footwear to foreign countries during the reporting period:

• Andijan region – $9.6 million
• Samarkand region – $5.8 million
• Fergana region – $5.3 million
• Tashkent region – $1.5 million
