Uzbekistan supplied over $600 million worth of gas to China in Jan-Oct 2021
Gas supplies from Uzbekistan to China in January-October reached 2.57 million tons, the General Customs Administration of the PRC said in a statement.
According to the GCA, Turkmenistan continues to lead in terms of pipeline natural gas supplies to China: over the given period, the PRC imported 19.79 million tons of gas from Turkmenistan for $5.38 billion.
Russia supplied 5.94 million tons of gas to China for $1.1 million, occupying second place. Kazakhstan’s gas supplies amounted to 3.73 million tons ($865 million).
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan exported 2.57 million tons of gas to China for $601.27 million.
According to published statistics, Australia was the leading supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China in January-October (25.7 million tons for $11.43 billion), followed by the United States (7.03 million tons for $3.88 billion), Malaysia (7.02 million tons for $3.05 billion) and Qatar (7 million tons for $3.21 billion).
