Provinces with highest GDP announced
The State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan has announced the regions with the highest GDP for January-September 2021.
According to the committee, during the reporting period, the GDP of the city of Tashkent was the highest in the republic – 87.8 trillion soums, followed by Tashkent region – 57.2 trillion soums and Navoi region – 42 trillion soums.
In the first 9 months of 2021, Samarkand region had a GDP of 37.8 trillion soums, Fergana region – 33.6 trillion soums, Kashkadarya region – 31.7 trillion soums, Andijan region – 30.4 trillion soums, Bukhara region – 27.4 trillion soums, Namangan region – 24.1 trillion soums, Surkhandarya region – 21.4 trillion soums and Khorezm region – 18.9 trillion soums.
Karakalpakstan (18.1 trillion soums), Jizzakh region (15.9 trillion soums) and Syrdarya region (11 trillion soums) are at the bottom of the list.
