Uzbekistan and Tajikistan consider strengthening strategic partnership
On the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organization summit in Ashgabat, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The heads of state discussed issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Tajik relations of strategic partnership. The importance of building up full-scale trade and economic cooperation was emphasized.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of promising cooperation projects in the fields of energy, agriculture, transport, tourism and other priority areas. Important programs of cultural and humanitarian exchange were noted.
The parties also exchanged views on the development of the situation in the Central Asian region.
