Italian University branch to be opened in Bukhara 

In Naples, a memorandum was signed between the delegation of the Bukhara region and the leadership of the Campania University named after Luigi Vanvitelli on mutual understanding on the creation of a branch of the Italian university in Bukhara, Dunyo IA reported.

This year, the administration of the Bukhara region and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Rome began working on the issue of establishing a branch of the Campania University in Bukhara, one of the most prestigious universities in Italy.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Otabek Akbarov, the deputy khokim of the Bukhara region Mirali Khamroyev, the rectors of the Bukhara State Medical Institute Shukhrat Teshayev and the Bukhara Engineering and Technological Institute Nusratilla Barakayev, the vice-rector of the Bukhara State Medical Institute Nikhatjon Nasullayev, and the head of the University of Campania Dzhantian University of Sergio Minucci, as well as representatives of various faculties of the university.

During the event, organizational issues related to the opening of a branch of the Campania University in Bukhara were discussed. According to the memorandum, the branch of the Italian university will train bachelors and masters in the following areas: construction, architecture, clothing design, higher nursing based on the University of Campaign curriculum. Based on the existing needs of the Bukhara region, a proposal was also made to train specialists in the field of leather and leather products processing, medicine, pharmaceuticals and other areas.

Highly qualified teaching staff of the Italian university will be involved in the educational process at the branch of the Bukhara university. Students will have the opportunity to do an internship in Italy.

Rector of the University Gianfranco Nicoletti stressed that their university is interested in opening a branch in Bukhara. They are ready to sign an agreement on the commencement of its activities in the spring of 2022 as part of the visit of the Italian delegation to Bukhara.
