Central Bank to renew 50,000-soum and 100,000-soum banknotes
Uzbekistan plans to renew 50,000-soum and 100,000-soum banknotes. New protection elements will appear on them, and the themes will be harmonized, Kun.uz correspondent reports referring to the CB press service.

However, it is not yet known exactly when the regulator will present the new banknotes.
“We will inform the public later. Detailed information will be published,” the head of the CB press service Akmal Nazarov said.
It should be recalled that earlier the Central Bank announced that it had made a decision to issue new samples of banknotes with denominations of 5,000 soums and 10,000 soums from August 26, 2021.
The theme of these banknotes was dedicated to the “Great Silk Road” and the history of the ancient cities of Samarkand and Tashkent located on the territory of Uzbekistan.
In addition, the Central Bank announced that it had made a decision to issue new banknotes with denominations of 2,000 soums and 20,000 soums from June 14 this year.
