Propane records sharpest annual price increase among non-food goods in Uzbekistan
Propane recorded the steepest annual price increase among non-food goods in Uzbekistan in June 2026, rising 41.1% compared with the same period last year, according to data released by the Central Bank on July 15.
The regulator also reported notable price increases for several other non-food products. Wedding rings became 23.1% more expensive year-on-year, followed by printed publications with a 17.5% increase, cement at 12.6%, and methane at 10.1%.
At the same time, prices for several durable household goods declined over the past year.
Large kitchen appliances fell by 2.7%, while small kitchen appliances used for food preparation became 2.1% cheaper. The price of cooking pots dropped by 2.0%, small beverage preparation appliances declined by 1.9%, and small household appliances overall fell by 1.6%.
According to the Central Bank, 232 of the 252 non-food items included in Uzbekistan's consumer price index basket, or 92% of the total, recorded annual price growth of no more than 10%.
