Several flights delayed at Uzbekistan’s airports due to dense fog
On the morning of December 8, weather conditions deteriorated, and the activities of Urgench, Nukus and Navoi airports were changed, Gazeta.uz reports.
Flight HY051 from Tashkent was scheduled to land at Urgench airport at 08:20. However, it was postponed due to heavy fog at the host airport – the visibility dropped to 200 meters. The plane took off from the capital at 11:00 and arrived in Urgench at 12:10.
The fog also caused the delay of flight HY011 on the route Tashkent – Nukus. The flight was scheduled to depart from Tashkent at 07:30, but was canceled at 10:30 due to bad weather.
The Navoi airport was also covered with a thick fog – the visibility was 300-350 meters. However, passenger traffic was not on the morning schedule.
