Deputy FM of Russia speaks about growing level of cooperation with Uzbekistan
The impetus for interaction between the two countries was given at the highest level, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko.
The diplomat noted that the recent visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia and his talks with Vladimir Putin confirmed the significance and strategic importance of the partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan.
“The most important thing, probably at the moment, is to continue the dialogue that we have had in recent years,” added Rudenko.
Today, the Deputy Minister is meeting in Tashkent with Russian ambassadors in the countries of Central Asia. They will discuss the development of the situation in the region and other relevant issues.
