TikTok, along with Twitter and VKontakte, was blocked in early July due to a “violation of the law on personal data.” The document requires all Internet resources to store the personal data of citizens of the republic on the territory of Uzbekistan.
Yesterday, December 15, the chairman of the Mass Media Foundation, Komil Allamjanov, announced that he had held talks with TikTok Vice President Theo Bertram and agreed on cooperation, after which the work of the platform has been restored in the country.
However, Twitter still does not work without a VPN.
