Health Ministry updates COVID-19 statistics for Dec 16

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 196,739 (+217).

Reportedly, 72 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 1 – in Karakalpakstan, 13 – in Andijan, 12 – in Bukhara, 3 – in Jizzakh, 2 – in Navoi, 7 – in Namangan, 24 – in Samarkand, 4 – in Syrdarya, 2 – in Surkhandarya, 9 - in Fergana, 15 – in Khorezm and 53 – in Tashkent region.

4 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, bringing the official death toll to 1,453.

As of December 16, the number of recovered stands at 193,478 (+201).
