At the Pulkovo International Airport, the high-ranking guest was welcomed by the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko and other officials.
An informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held in the northern capital of Russia today.
The agenda of the meeting included issues of multilateral cooperation within the CIS.
