Salaries of teachers and doctors to grow in 2022
In 2022, salaries for teachers and doctors will be increased in Uzbekistan. This is stated in the draft presidential decree “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026”.

According to the document, in 2022, the republic plans to additionally increase the salaries of teachers and doctors differently depending on the qualification category:
• teachers of the highest category – by at least 15 percent;
• teachers of the first category, doctors of the highest and first categories – by at least 10 percent;
• teachers and doctors of the second category – by at least 5 percent.
In addition, the Ministry of Public Education and the Ministry of Health, together with the Ministry of Finance, will be instructed, by July 1, 2022, to ensure a radical revision of the procedure for assigning a qualification category to teachers and doctors with the involvement of international experts, as well as to submit to the Cabinet of Ministers a draft resolution on the implementation of a fair and transparent qualification assessment systems.
It should be recalled that on November 1 of this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on tax revenues and budget parameters for 2022.
Then, during the meeting, the head of state, stressing the need for a gradual increase in the salaries of teachers and doctors, proposed to allocate additional funds for this purpose.
