Transport Ministry’s unprofitable state-owned enterprises to be transferred to private sector
A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On attracting the private sector to state enterprises in the field of road transport” was adopted.
The document provides for the sale of unprofitable state-owned enterprises in the field of road transport of the Ministry of Transport to the private sector through public auctions with the condition of accepting investment and social obligations, Norma reports.
The list of enterprises sold on the electronic trading platform “Electronic auction” has been approved, for which the following investment and social obligations have been established:
· to carry out activities in the field of public transport for at least 5 years, primarily in the territories connecting the countryside with district and regional centers;
· introduction of modern information and communication technologies (GPS devices, e-payment systems) during the year.
The State Assets Management Agency was instructed to ensure the conclusion of appropriate agreements with investors and control over the implementation of the investment and social obligations.
