Heavy fog restricts operation of several airports in Uzbekistan
From early morning, the planes were unable to take off and land at the Namangan airport due to poor visibility. Also, fog covered the airports of Andijan and Navoi.

As the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reported, due to thick fog at the Namangan airport – visibility is about 150 meters – the aircraft of the Aeroflot airline, flight AFL602, flying from St. Petersburg, could not land at the destination airport at 07:05 and left for an alternate airfield to Tashkent.
“At the moment, the airline has provided food and a hotel for passengers. Departure of the plane from Tashkent to Namangan is scheduled for 18:40,” the message says.
Also, due to weather conditions, another flight of Uzbekistan Airways HY3669/69 on the route “Tashkent – Namangan – Novosibirsk”, which was supposed to arrive in Namangan at 10:35, was delayed. Currently, the board is still in Tashkent.
According to preliminary data, departure from Tashkent is scheduled at 13:35.
“In the morning there was thick fog at two more airports – Andijan (visibility – about 400 meters) and Navoi (visibility – about 50 meters). At this time, according to the schedule, there were no flights at these airports. By this hour, the fog has practically cleared, the airports are ready to accept flights,” the press service concluded.
