Magnitude 4.1 earthquake hits Uzbekistan’s Surkhandarya region

An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 hit Surkhandarya region on January 10 at 02:41 local time.

According to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Boysun district.

The depth of the quake was 15 km. Earthquake coordinates: 38.38 degrees north latitude; 67.43 degrees east longitude. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 355 km in the southwest direction.
