COVID-19: Uzbekistan registered over 1,000 new infection cases on Jan 16
On January 16, 1,037 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 206,122 (+1,037).
Reportedly, 535 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 39 – in Karakalpakstan, 25 – in Andijan, 30 – in Bukhara, 40 – in Jizzakh, 8 – in Navoi, 32 – in Namangan, 55 – in Samarkand, 22 – in Syrdarya, 15 – in Surkhandarya, 29 – in Fergana, 35 – in Khorezm and 172 – in Tashkent region.
3 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, bringing the official death toll to 1,518.
As of January 16, the number of recovered stands at 199,193 (+448).
