Urgench airport temporarily closed
In the Khorezm region, Urgench Airport was temporarily closed due to heavy snowfall.

According to the press service of Uzbekistan Airways, the snow that increased in the evening caused the closure of the international airport in Urgench. According to preliminary data, the air harbor will be closed until 05:00 of January 19.
It also became known that on January 18, flight HY-280 on the Istanbul-Urgench route was forcibly redirected to the Tashkent airport. All 98 passengers were accommodated in a hotel. Passengers will be traveling to Urgench by flight HY-051 on January 19.
In addition, on January 18, flight HY-054 on the Urgench-Tashkent route was canceled due to weather conditions in Urgench. Passengers of the specified flight will be transported to Tashkent by flight HY-052 on January 19.
