In a videoconference meeting chaired by the President, the khokim of Syrdarya region Gafurjon Mirzayev and the khokim of Khorezm region Farkhod Ermanov were reprimanded for poorly organized privatization work. In addition, the heads of departments of the State Assets Management Agency in Syrdarya, Khorezm and Bukhara regions were fired.
Currently, the videoconference meeting chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev is being held on the priorities for the privatization of state property in 2022.
According to the presidential spokesman Sherzod Asadov, the head of state noted that the pace of work on the privatization of state assets is unsatisfactory.
The forecast of funds from the privatization of state assets this year is very low. The presence of 2,000 inefficiently used state-owned facilities in the sector and regions has been sharply criticized.
About 170 vacant objects on the balance of regional administrations have not been sold for years.
“Therefore, the khokim of Syrdarya region G. Mirzayev and the khokim of Khorezm region F. Ermanov were reprimanded for poorly organized privatization work,” the report said.
Also, heads of departments of the State Assets Management Agency in Syrdarya, Khorezm and Bukhara regions were dismissed. Chairman of Uzagroservis R.Khayitov was reprimanded for neglecting transformation and privatization.
