Russian Ministry of Education announces number of Uzbek students studying at higher education institutions of Russia
According to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, in 2021, 48.7 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan studied at Russian universities.

In total, 324,000 foreign students entered Russia last year to study. This is a noticeable increase – in 2020 there were 315 thousand and in 2019 – 298 thousand.
Kazakhstan is a clear leader in terms of the number of students studying in Russian higher education institutions – 61 thousand.
The ministry notes that medical science, economics and management are most in demand among students from Uzbekistan.
