Electricity supply being restored – Ministry of Energy
Electricity supply is being restored in some regions of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Energy said.

Power plants are being put into operation in stages.
“The supply of electricity to the energy system has begun through the Charvak, Khojikent and Tavaksai hydroelectric power stations in Tashkent region, the Navoi thermal power plant in Navoi region, the Takhiatash thermal power plant in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Fergana thermal power plant in Fergana region,” the report says.
The ministry stressed that the process of restoring the electricity supply in the regions continues.
Massive power cuts in the cities of Uzbekistan began at around 11:00. The work of the metro has been temporarily suspended.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the power outage occurred as a result of a major accident on the unified power grid of Central Asia.
