Cases of illegal land sales prevented in Andijan, Jizzakh and Samarkand regions 

The State Security Service revealed the cases of illegal land sales in Andijan, Jizzakh, Samarkand and Khorezm regions, and the suspects were arrested at the scene.

The head of one of the LLCs in Andijan gained the trust of another and told him that the construction of a shopping center with 240 shops on an area of   6 hectares was being carried out by the company he headed.

He promised to sell 10 shops to the citizen and issue cadastral documents of the shops and the relevant decision of the khokim through his acquaintances. In return, he demanded $117,000 in bribe. He was arrested when he received $60,000 of the agreed amount.

A citizen of Khorezm (born in 1959), living in Khazarasp district, tried to sell 60 square meters of land in the reserve of the district administration to another person, convincing him that he owns it. He was arrested when he received $10.5 thousand.

In Jizzakh, a man from Zaamin (born in 1987) was detained while selling 50 hectares of arid land for 250 million soums. It turned out that he did not have the authority to sell the land. However, he said he would formalize the land through the regional government and acquaintances in the cadastral system.

In the course of an operative event in Samarkand, a lawyer from the city’s law firm decided to sell 4 hectares of leased land, located in the Jambay district. He asked for $23,000 in exchange for formalizing it to the buyer. He was arrested while receiving $15,000.

A criminal case has been launched and an investigation is underway.

Earlier, it was reported that an employee of the SUE “Municipal Assets Management Center” under the Tashkent city khokimiyat was caught while trying to sell 0.3-hectare land with his 3 acquaintances for $420,000 and received an advance of $42,000.
