Uzmetkombinat buys 51% of Chinese fittings plant Li Da Metal Technology
On January 28, Uzmetkombinat JSC, the largest ferrous metallurgy enterprise in Uzbekistan, completeda deal to acquire a 51% stake in Li Da Metall Technology LLC.
The transaction was financed by the plant’s own funds. Li Da Metall Technology LLC is located in the city of Akhangaran, Tashkent region. The venture was launched in 2020 by a Chinese investor. The metallurgical complex includes a steel-smelting and rolling shops, as well as auxiliary sections: a scrap collection rack, an electrical substation, a water treatment section, an oxygen compressor shop and a laboratory.
The enterprise is equipped with all the necessary metallurgical and rolling equipment for the production of fittings P12-P25 of strength class A400-A500 from high-quality steel.
The production capacity of the enterprise is 200,000 tons of fittings per year. At the end of 2021, Uzmetkombinat JSC produced 1.08 million tons of metal products, an increase of 6.5% compared to 2020.
