A proposal was prepared to introduce the Human Dignity Index in Tashkent. For this, one mahalla of Chilanzar, Uchtepa, Sergeli and Yunusabad districts was selected, and a population survey was conducted in them on 56 questions. Thus, it was determined which areas require the most attention.

During the presentation, it was proposed to cover all mahallas of the capital with such a study and, based on the results, strengthen work in one direction or another.

“What will be the criteria for this? What will be achieved after six months or by the end of the year? Therefore, a scientifically based system is needed. It is necessary to create an analytical center similar to the Situation Center in the city khokimiyat, to create a software product. It is not easy to work in the context of mahallas, we take on a great responsibility. This system should show which mahalla and which street require attention in the first place. All measures should be based on taking into account the opinion of the public. They will be carried out after approval by local councils, in an organized manner,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

It was recommended to discuss the draft index with specialists, to comprehensively finalize it, and to train sector leaders to work with it. It is emphasized that this will encourage them to change the way they work.
