Muzaffar Kamilov becomes presidential adviser
Muzaffar Kamilov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers, has been appointed Adviser to the President in charge of cooperation with citizens and religious organizations. The statement came from the spokesman for the president, Sherzod Asadov.
According to the report, Muzaffar Kamilov will be the rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.
Shoazim Minovarov, who has held the post of presidential adviser, will continue to serve as head of the Center of Islamic Civilization.
For information, Muzaffar Kamilov previously worked as a department head at the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies and Tashkent State University of Economics.
