Customs officers seize about 230 kg of drugs in Tashkent region (video)
A truck loaded with drugs was trying to leave Tajikistan for Russia via Uzbekistan.
At the “Oybek” border checkpoint in Tashkent region, a truck trying to leave Tajikistan for Russia via Uzbekistan has raised serious suspicions among customs officers. During the inspection, it was found out that drugs were hidden in the trailer of the truck, the Information Service of the State Customs Committee reported.
Reportedly, the drugs were in 232 packages and weighed 229 kg 719 grams.
The price of the seized drugs, which weighed almost 230 kg, on European “black markets” is now an average of $12-14 million.
A criminal case has been launched by the customs authorities. Currently, an investigation is underway.
