Uzbekistan and Malaysia to establish cooperation in training diplomatic personnel
At a meeting with the Director-General of the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry Shazelina Zainul Abidin, Uzbek diplomats discussed issues of establishing cooperation in the field of training diplomatic personnel.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects for establishing and developing cooperation between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) and IDFR, including the implementation of joint projects for the training and retraining of specialists from Uzbekistan in the field of economic diplomacy.
Shazelina Zainul Abidin highly appreciated the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, including in the field of advanced training of highly qualified specialists. In this context, she expressed IDFR's interest in establishing and developing cooperation with UWED.
She also noted the possibility of implementing joint projects for the training and retraining of diplomatic personnel from Uzbekistan. In particular, an agreement was reached on the participation of representatives of the republic in August this year in courses on economic diplomacy organized by IDFR within the framework of the Technical Cooperation Program of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry.
