Passenger car imports up by about 14 times
In January 2022, Uzbekistan imported 3,037 passenger cars from 12 countries for $65.7 million.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the import of passenger cars increased by 2,819 units or almost 14 times compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting month, the republic imported 122 electric vehicles for $3.1 million.
Almost all the EVs, with the exception of three, were imported from China (119).
