Assistant khokim detained in Surkhandarya for taking 5.5 million soums in bribe

The SSS arrested an assistant khokim who promised to help a citizen acquire 0.60 hectares of land in the khokimiyat’s reserve.

Assistant khokim of the Jarqurgan district, Surkhandarya region, B.Kh. was caught with material evidence when he fraudulently received 5.5 million soums from a citizen.

It turned out that citizen A.M. wanted to acquire a land plot in the Yangiabad mahalla of the district through the khokimiyat for entrepreneurship.

Assistant khokim B.Kh. demanded 5,500,000 soums from the citizen in exchange for assisting him in winning a tender that would give him the right to build a stadium and a sports complex in the mahalla.
