In the course of an operative event carried out by employees of the Samarkand Regional SSS Department and the Department of Internal Affairs, the illegal sale of 1 hectare of land allocated for the construction of 16-storey residential buildings in the Karasu block in Samarkand was suppressed.
Three urban residents Ya.O. (born in 1978), A.N. (born in 1978) and A.K. (born in 1968), knowing that no construction work had been carried out on this land plot yet and the land should be returned to the state reserve in December 2022, tried to illegally sell it.
It turned out that a group of men offered a local resident, through their acquaintances, to sell this land plot for $500,000. They were caught red-handed while receiving $250,000 of the agreed amount.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against them under the relevant Articles of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
