Uzbekistan supplied 12,000 tons of tomatoes to Kazakhstan and Russia in Jan-Feb 2022
Uzbekistan exported 12.5 thousand tons of tomatoes in two months, the State Statistics Committee reported.
According to the committee, in January-February 2022, Uzbekistan exported 12.5 thousand tons of tomatoes worth $ 8.6 million to eight countries.
It was noted that the volume of tomato exports decreased by 1.1 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.
In 2 months of 2022, Uzbekistan was the largest exporter of tomatoes to the following countries:
ꞏ Kazakhstan - 7.8 thousand tons;
ꞏ Russia - 4.3 thousand tons;
ꞏ Kyrgyzstan - 365 tons;
ꞏ Tajikistan - 15.4 tons;
ꞏ Ukraine - 1.2 tons.
The regions that exported the most tomatoes to foreign countries in January-February 2022:
ꞏ Khorezm region - 3.6 thousand tons;
ꞏ Fergana region - 2.1 thousand tons;
ꞏ Bukhara region - 1.8 thousand tons;
ꞏ Surkhandarya region - 1.6 thousand tons;
ꞏ Kashkadarya region - 870 tons;
ꞏ Namangan region - 682.5 tons;
ꞏ Tashkent region - 521.4 tons;
ꞏ Tashkent city - 303 tons;
ꞏ Syrdarya region - 300 tons;
ꞏ Samarkand region - 224 tons;
ꞏ Andijan region - 187.5 tons;
ꞏ Jizzakh region - 116 tons;
ꞏ the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 76 tons;
ꞏ Navoi region - 69.6 tons.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan bought $113 million worth of wheat from Kazakhstan in two months.
