Earlier, some experts said that the majority of migrants from the CIS countries, including from Uzbekistan, would not leave Russia, despite serious economic losses. Today, the Agency for External Labor Migration reported that the number of applications from migrants about delayed payment of wages has increased dramatically, the head of the department of the Agency for External Labor Migration Azim Akhmatov reported about it.
“In February and March, the topics of appeals changed. In particular, in the last two months, 2.2 thousand citizens received legal assistance, of which 1.3 thousand people could not receive their salaries on time,” he said during an AIMC briefing.
He stressed that earlier the number of applications from migrants about the delay in payment of wages was small – 10-15% out of the total number.
However, in recent years, the number of applications on this issue has increased dramatically.
