Presidential decree on changes in the procedure for paying pensions stimulates non-cash transactions
By presidential decree, recipients of pensions and benefits on bank cards will be paid an extra 1 percent of the amount of the pension or benefit. No fees will be charged to recipients for cash payments.
In connection with the mass of questions that have arisen among recipients of pensions and benefits regarding the interpretation of the resolution on changes in the procedure for paying pensions, it should be noted that from May 1, 2022:
• recipients of all types of state pensions, allowances, compensations and other payments, as well as child allowances and material assistance to low-income families paid to bank cards, will be paid an additional 1 percent of the amount of the pension or allowance;
• for the services of delivery of pensions, allowances and material assistance in cash to citizens by field cash desks of “Xalq Banki”, the bank charges a fee in the amount of 1 percent of the amount paid. This fee is compensated to the bank by the state and will not be deducted from recipients of pensions and benefits.
The above changes will take effect on May 1. Also:
- pensions and benefits will be funded no later than the 5th of each month;
- 1,800 ATMs will be brought from abroad to be installed mainly in remote areas.
